Yes. There is no such condition to Buy/Rent an Office to start a Company. You can start your Company from a Residential Address. You just need the Latest Electricity Bill of the Property, a NOC from the owner and a Lease Agreement (If Any) for Registering your Company.
When one file for registration of a company, one can give a temporary address until one has a registered office for communication from Registrar. So you can use your home address as a communication address.
