- Employee not share past (Employee Provident Fund) EPF and UAN details with new employer purposely.
- Employee don’t know his/her past EPF details. Hence, the new employer forced to create one more UAN.
Looking at all these factors, (Employee Provident Fund Organisation) EPFO \https://unifiedportal-emp.epfindia.gov.in/epfo/ recently started the automated system where multiple UAN numbers allotted to single employee will be merged.
